Can we bring change to the whole industry?

Can circularity and ethics define the future of fashion? We'll discuss how circular strategies and innovative production methods can counteract overconsumption. We'll examine the role of conscious consumers and pioneers of sustainable fashion in shaping the future of this industry. Real-life examples will show how these strategies impact reality.

Circular fashion – a potential for change or another eyewash? | Ola Bąkowska (Circle Economy, Strategist Circular Textiles and Apparel)

Strategies for circularity respond to social and climate challenges posed by (ultra)fast fashion and overconsumption. Let’s get back to the basics: circularity is primarily about using existing products for as long as possible and reducing the need for “new” ones. This popular strategy can transform the clothing industry into a more socially responsible business and reduce waste.

Lease a Jeans. The circular economy brought alive in the fashion industry | Bert Van Son (Mud Jeans, Founder & CEO)

Disrupting the fashion industry through a circular business model. Have you ever questioned where your clothing items come from, who made them, and what materials were used? MUD Jeans, one of the world's first B Corps and a pioneer of the 'Lease a Jeans' circular business model since 2012, urges you to ask these questions. Considered the most sustainable jeans, they are also consciously created from 40% post-consumer waste, using an innovative approach to reusing materials and a commitment to ethical production.

How to pioneer a change?

Can pioneers in sustainability create new role models where none previously existed? Discover innovative production methods, closed-loop business approaches, and uncommon organizations that boldly chart new directions and become role models to follow. Inspiring case studies will demonstrate the pros and cons of being a pioneer in sustainable development.

Circular technologies for design and furniture | Ricco Fiorito (Cooloo, Commercial Circular Officer)

A case example of Cooloo’s new way of furniture production, technology and circular business models. Currently we throw away 11 billion kg of furniture in Europe every year. Worldwide we generate 5 billion kg of leather waste. This is a waste and a problem. Cooloo has developed technologies and concepts as a solution for these problems.

#It’s Worth Being Green | Jarosław Żubka (Warta Poznań, ESG Proxy of the Management Board)

Football club with a 111-year tradition decided to reshape itself according to the ESG principles. Being a white (or actually green) whale on the Polish sports map, it builds a competitive advantage in the sports industry.

Speed of changes: green building for Sustainable Development Goals – cooperation for action | Magdalena Wojtas (PLGBC, Sustainable Development Manager)

Cooperation for strategic changes towards sustainable development is crucial. The construction industry is largely responsible for resource consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Let’s talk about the potential for cooperation towards a sustainable construction industry.

Sustainability, excellence, and perfection – where good is good enoughDominika Zielińska (Workplace, Co-CEO & futures designer), Ireneusz Kołodziej (Arup, Director)

How can we collaborate effectively for sustainable development? Let’s find out by looking at the example of the Arup Workplace office in Warsaw. The pursuit of perfection is a path that has no end.
