Filip Ludka
A graduate of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Gdańsk University of Technology, Filip Ludka also studied at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Grenoble. Since 2013, he has been co-leading the Furniture Design Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where he prepares students for conscious creation in harmony with nature, technology, and craftsmanship. He familiarizes them with contemporary global achievements in furniture design and design.
In 2009, he co-founded the Tabanda group with friends. Tabanda designs and produces furniture, driven by a fascination with materials and a desire to explore their potential and limitations. Tabanda's style is based on subtle contrasts and unconventional combinations. Nature-inspired motifs are incorporated into modern geometric forms, with raw industrial accents combined with vibrant, cheerful colors. Tabanda's products have been exhibited and awarded multiple times in places such as Imm Cologne, Maison et Objet (Paris), ICFF (New York), IDFFHK (Hong Kong), Milan Design Week, DMY (Berlin), and 100% Design (London).
