Złoty standard. Siatka vol. 3

Siatka vol. 3 project focuses on Gdynia's Market Halls, their specificity and uniqueness, both in terms of architecture and society. The third edition of the Siatka (Grid) activity will be based on cooperation with their users, and the invited artists will focus on intervention activities, inscribing them into the natural landscape of this place.

The activities preceded by the residency in Gdynia are aimed at enriching the space of the Market Halls with artistic activities, which will be a continuation of the trade and exchange processes – underlying their current functioning. Through sensitive observation of changes, both in the space of the Market Halls themselves, the city of Gdynia, but also in the global geo-political situation, as part of the third edition of the Grid project, we will consider possible visions of the future. In this particularly difficult time, when it seems impossible to construct a long-term forecast, it is art that is directly related to reality, going beyond the walls of the gallery, including local communities, that can become a space for imagination and building the visions we need.
