The exhibition as part of the Gdynia Design Days festival is the result of this year's competition, the slogan of which is "Trace".
We all leave traces: literally and figuratively. They are words, gestures, signs imprinted in memory, material, image. Sometimes we follow the traces left by others – quotes, ornaments – other times created simply by the tools we use at the moment: the trace of a brush, chisel, fingers imprinted in clay. The task of this year's competition is to answer the question of what a trace is to you, how you define it in your work. Will it be a conscious trace of the tools you use, or maybe a quote from the past.
Make a mark, perpetuate, leave something behind, reflect, make an impact, leave a mark: we want to find in the competition works one of these synonyms referring to the competition slogan. At the exhibition we will see the best works, including those awarded by the competition jury, composed of: Zuzanna Skalska, Grynasz Studio, Szymon Hanczar, Małgorzata Szczepańska, Ewa Chudecka, Ewa Janczukowicz-Cichosz.
