About:

Shell, crust, seashell. What does our inner world look like when we feel stable? What does the same place look like when confronted with changes in the external world that completely deviate from the personal norms that create it?

The world is dynamically changing, which affects our personal sets of values and norms that make it up. The adopted set of norms that is our interpretation of the world is like a shell in which we feel stable and safe. External changes influence the process of adaptation, which constantly rearranges our safe space. What happens when the pace is so great that keeping up can be practically impossible?

The IN THE SHELL exhibition is a visual anomaly that combines elements typical to the seaside landscape. The creative assumption was to implement the installation using new technologies such as 3D: scanning, design and printing. Technology is one of the key aspects affecting changes in the way we operate. The main element of the installation – a shell, was 3D printed and the material used is PET-G made from recycled plastic bottles.

Patron of the installation: Porsche Centrum Sopot.
