About:
Who is the Baltic Sea? The presence of the sea seems obvious to us, it appears to be stable, strong, eternal. It is easy to overlook how far-reaching changes in this delicate ecosystem can be caused by our actions or their lack.
The exhibition raises questions about our relationship with the Baltic Sea: how to use its resources? What to rebuild and what to leave alone? How to look anew and responsibly at our relationship with the sea?
The sea is one of the most important elements of our ecosystem, contributing to our health, safety, and well-being. It produces the oxygen necessary for our survival, is a source of work, energy, food and allows us to move. We are dependent on the sea and cannot give up this relationship. However, we should start changing and limiting our actions to protect the fauna and flora that enable the sea to maintain its functions.
To begin to change our behavior towards the Baltic Sea, we must start paying attention to it, realizing that it is dependent on us and more sensitive to our influence than we might think.
Exhibition Glony II aims to draw attention to sustainable development in case of the exploitation of the Baltic Sea. The exhibition is created in cooperation with the local community, creators, and experts whose goal is to protect the Baltic Sea.
